William Nelson is the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies. He served as the chair of the Physics and Astronomy Department for a decade before joining the Dean’s Office in 2004. Nelson’s research focuses on the effects of radiation on DNA, and on the use of electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy and electron-nuclear double resonance spectroscopy to understand those effects.
