Study Abroad or Exchange Program?
Both study abroad programs and exchange programs allow Georgia State University students to experience international education. However, there are unique features to each and it is important to take the time to decide which program is best for you.

These programs are shorter ranging from Maymester to summer session. |
These programs are longer allowing students to stay for a semester or for a full academic year. |
|
These programs are faculty led meaning that a faculty member puts the entire program together and travels with the students. The faculty member assists with language and culture acclimation. |
These programs are not faculty led. Students travel on their own. However, there is a program director both at GSU and at the school abroad who works with students to help them register for classes and get accustomed to their new surroundings. |
