Global Initiatives

The College of Arts and Sciences reaches out to all corners of the globe with programs including research collaborations, professional training, student exchanges, study abroad, and foreign language study. Students and faculty work in England, Mexico, Canada, Germany, Italy, China, Korea, Israel, Turkey, Egypt, South Africa and elsewhere.

Our international programs provide unique research, teaching and service opportunities to our faculty and students. In the process, they contribute to regional development and the quality of life for people in many parts of the world, not to mention building cross-cultural ties across the globe.

At our home campus in Atlanta, we incorporate an international focus into our core curriculum and class offerings. In this way, Georgia State works to improve intercultural understanding within the faculty, the student body, and the Atlanta community.

At the university level, the Office of International Affairs works to bring a global perspective to all aspects of student, faculty, and academic life through coordination and implementation of strategic international initiatives, study abroad programs, and international exchanges.
