Non-Degree & Transient Admission

The College of Arts and Sciences provides the opportunity for students who are not in direct pursuit of a graduate degree to take courses in some departments. Applicants seeking the status of non-degree or transient student are subject to the same fees and application restrictions of other applicants, although departmental standards for admission may vary.

Non-Degree

Non-Degree seeking students must adhere to the application deadlines established by the department.  Accepted students are allowed to take a maximum of 9 credit hours.

  • Transcripts from every institution attended
  • List of courses desired
  • GRE scores: Sociology applicants only

Transient

  • Application
  • $50 application fee
  • Letter of good standing
  • List of courses desired

Application Deadlines for Transient admissions are: 
     Fall—June 15 
     Spring—December 1 
     Summer—May 15
