Department of Geosciences
The Department of Geosciences was formed in January 2006 from the Department of Geology and the Geography Program within the former Department of Anthropology and Geography. We offer special field camps and schools, research programs, and facilities that allow students to hone their skills and prepare for rewarding careers in the geosciences. Currently, the Department offers a B.A. and M.A. in Geography, a B.S. and M.S. in Geology, an Advanced Certificate in Hydrogeology, a Professional Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and a Ph.D in Chemistry with Geology Specialization.
