Susan McCombie is a medical anthropologist and epidemiologist with research interests in infectious diseases and international health. From 1988 to 1993, she was a Research Director for the Center for International Health and Development Communication at the University of Pennsylvania where she conducted evaluations of AIDS prevention programs in Uganda and Ghana and provided technical assistance in research and evaluation to a number of other countries in Africa. Dr. McCombie has conducted research and provided technical advice on AIDS, malaria, child health and reproductive health for a number of health agencies, including the World Health Organization and the Harvard Institute for International Development.
