Services Provided
The mission of the financial division of Administrative Services is as follows:
- To support the department chairs, faculty, directors and staff in their financial responsibilities and education in terms of operating departmental accounts and polices and procedural changes affecting such within the university, Board of Regents and or any private, state or federal agency.
- This web page shall serve this purpose where possible but if additional information is required please contact the College Finance Officer directly.
The objectives of which shall be to support the faculty and staff of the college with assistance in the following key areas in full collaboration with the specific department:
- The Fiscal Year State Budget: its yearly set-up, operation and changes to completed in the Quarterly Budget Amendment schedule in compliance with Board of Regents rules & regulations.
- The operation of departmental accounts and their expenditures, to include but not limited to: Agency, Continuing Education, Department Sales & Services, GSU Foundation, GSU Research Foundation Residual, Indirect Cost Recoveries, Student Activity Fee, Sponsored Grants & Contract and Technology Fee accounts.
- Known Policies & Procedures at Georgia State University and Georgia State University Foundation governing: Accounts payable, Cash Handling, Disbursements, Expenditure Control, Grants & Contracts and Travel Regulations.
- Personnel Effort Reporting (PER) systems operation and policy & procedural requirements for the Board of Regents and the federal government.
